Lakmé Fashion Week 2014: Abbacadabra!
The glam circuit grabbed first-row seats as bold designs and funk-infested collections made it to the runway. Amit Aggarwal’s opening show unfurled a dark romance with veiled, mysterious entries only adding to the drama. Sushmita Sen walked the ramp for this futuristic designer in a structured self-striped mesh creation.
On a different tangent, Masaba Gupta’s collection revolved around the vintage 1960’s look with a lavish use of yellow and neon hues. Shilpa Shetty took to the ramp, with Mamma Mia! roaring in the background. The final leg of Masaba’s show had the models make an upbeat entry to Will.I.Am’s Urvashi – an exciting start to what we hope will conjure a magical week of fashion.
