Designer Focus: Amit Aggarwal
He is unbeatable when it comes to path-breaking crafting techniques that he uses to design structured, finely moulded and futuristic-looking numbers. And this time too, he presented his metallic magic through a line of couture gowns enhanced with tribal influences of weaving techniques, striped tattoos and structured jewellery. But the impact of the highly dimensional garments was far less compared to his last showing. The intense craftsmanship is worthy of appreciation but in his attempt to reduce the whimsical element in order to induce wearability, the plot got lost. Nonetheless, we see a few finely moulded masterpieces becoming red carpet favourites – the black self-striped mesh gown was a winner!
