The Oberoi Patisserie and Delicatessen in Delhi will delight the gourmet in you

If it’s serious palate pampering you crave, the Oberoi Patisserie in Delhi is your salvation. The Oberoi’s intimate and very exclusive shop is a gourmet’s delight: decadent cakes and exotic breads, the choicest international wines and champagnes, handmade single-origin chocolates and melt-in-the mouth macaroons, Parma ham and baguettes. The list goes on.

A feeling of warmth and intimacy envelopes you as you walk into the chic patisserie that looks almost as good as it smells. The eye-catching cake displays—they keep changing but this writer feasted her eyes on a red stiletto masterpiece and a massive three-tier floral wedding cake in buttercup yellow. The bottachino marble flooring complemented by teak wood and satvario marble counters, and especially designed ebony and teak furniture set the mood for an inviting experience. The wood-oak panelling and soft lighting add to the unhurried charm of the décor, making you feel welcome and pampered.

If you’re a bread lover, be ready to be charmed by the bakery and savoury section, which showcases oven-fresh breads, croissants, muffins, Danishes and quiches. The schedule offers you the opportunity to witness fresh breads being baked in front of you. You could even have your choice of breads baked on request.

The cakes and pastries section with its impressive range of cakes, classic and contemporary pastries and tarts—size, flavour and colour no bar—caters to every possible kind of sweet tooth. Chocophiles are guaranteed to fall under the spell of the homemade chocolates, pralines and cookies. It’s easy when they have the opportunity of viewing the finishing of the chocolate.

Select meats and a variety of cheeses that are sliced and packaged as per individual guest requirements are on offer at the delicatessen along with an elaborate range of imported retail products, all elegantly packaged exclusively. Complementing the experience are the extensive tea, coffee and fresh juice offerings. Sip on a delicious hot chocolate at the store or take your favourite beverage home.

Rediscover temptation.
