For reinventing normcore over and over again

Fashion designer; owner of Bodice; has trained under legendary designer Vivienne Westwood; has made waves with the normcore look and her minimal take on trends; New Delhi.

Signature style
Strong but relaxed.

Current fashion phase
Clean and edited.

Colour love
Blues, black, and greys. Currently, I’m in love with natural indigo.

Passionate about
Expression of creativity.

Daily fashion inspiration
I surround myself with people who inspire me, all the time.

Shopping destinations
Dover Street Market in the UK; I love flea markets anywhere in the world.

Closet staples
High-waisted trousers and oversized anything.

Travel must-haves
A lot of soft jackets from Bodice.

Shopping philosophy
Only shop when travelling.

When you get bored of your own designs
I make new ones! We are designing clothes every six months so the element of ‘newness’ doesn’t die out.

An absolute no-no
Never try too hard.

Favourite Indian designers
I really like NorBlack NorWhite as they have fun with what they do and Sabyasachi — his whole journey is quite admirable.
