Find Out Why Sarah Todd Is In Goa

Has she set up shop on the sandy shore of Vagator?

A household name with MasterChef Australia fans, especially after her incredibly successful stint on the show’s sixth season, this model-turned-culinary-artist has set up shop on the sandy shore of Vagator. Antares is an avant-garde restaurant, beach club and seafood haven that overlooks the Indian Ocean.

Antares is…. “Australian…but it’s all about local produce. I’ve been to the markets in the area and done my research on fresh seafood, vegetables, spices and other produce. I’ve played around with techniques, and what’s good about Australian cuisine is that it incorporates a lot of Asian flavours.”

Changing paths…. “Since I was 18, I have been constantly travelling, working as a model. Experiencing so many different cultures, sensations and tastes really inspired me because I saw how much love and passion people put into their food.”

Earliest food memory…. “I’ve been a foodie ever since I was a little girl. My father loved seafood and exposed me to it really early, so there’s a picture of me, from when I was two years old, eating this whole lobster that was way bigger than I was! I also used to lick the pavlova spoon whenever my mom was making it and, today, my little boy does the very same thing. I’m pretty sure it’s the only reason he helps me.”
