Living Large: Gauri & Nainika

Luxury has never been so apparent in interiors, showcasing merchandise, giving a context and cocooning in sheer finery. Verve reviews opulent spaces…

The designers Gauri and Nainika launched their flagship store in New Delhi near the historic Qutb Minar archeological complex, in the art hub of Lado Sarai, bringing alive the label’s inspiration of European  fashion history, old Hollywood and red carpet glamour. The 4000-square-foot store spread over two floors offers the entire range under the Gauri & Nainika label from their feminine and romantic garments to the newly-launched Home line presenting interiors and décor for the first time in their 12-year careers, taking their design philosophy in fashion forward into the world of interiors. Sophistication and classic elegance are apparent in the lifestyle choices made by the young designers in both spheres.

Gauri & Nainika Home offers furniture, lighting, contemporary photography, textiles and other objects of décor that have been curated by the designers. Classic furniture shapes like the Chesterfield, the Porters Chair and the Trestle table as well as loveseats, a romantic four-poster bed, statement maritime pendant lights, tripods and reproductions of other classics, form part of their collection. Sophistication and classic elegance are apparent in the choices made by the young designers.
