Living Large: A Ta Maison (ATM)

Text by Shirin Mehta and Arti Sarin

Luxury has never been so apparent in interiors, showcasing merchandise, giving a context and cocooning in sheer finery. Verve reviews opulent spaces…

Rakshay Dhariwal, owner of a wellness centre, the Worship Salon and Gentlemen’s Tonic in Emporio, as well as award-winning bar PCO, has launched A Ta Maison, ATM, a private members club. Tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined corner of Sundernagar, New Delhi, this is a discreet and intimate space, designed to provide the ultimate home-away-from-home experience, with butler and concierge services. The interiors incorporate a teak wood bar, a formal dining room, a casual dining bistro, a library, a sunroom, a terrace, a dressing chamber and a tiny version of the Worship Salon.

In keeping with the old architecture of the building, one climbs up a narrow steep staircase into the solid teakwood bar with hardwood floors. The formal dining room is a pretty space — candle lit and romantic. It offers daily degustation menus, which promise a leisurely and mouth-watering dining experience. ATM also offers the nostalgia of a cosy, leather-filled library, together with the conveniences of technology. This room is smoking friendly, and there is an excellent range of cigars, books and movies to choose from.

Décor
Intimate yet luxurious.

Philosophy
More than a private supper club, it aims to cater to members’ continuously evolving needs — professional growth, cultural experiences, intellectual thought or social and networking opportunities.
