For her stellar collaborations with globally renowned museums around the world and taking Indian art places

The chairperson and founder of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) recently collaborated with two veteran organisations — The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid — to showcase the works of Indian modernist Nasreen Mohamedi on a global platform. A trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation and a passionate art collector, Kiran Nadar is also an internationally acclaimed bridge player and philanthropist.

Power is: “To me, it is the skill to tackle areas of work that you choose to be in, and do it to the best of your ability.”

On her recent international collaborations: “I think it is great for us, we are just six years old and to have a tie-up with three major international museums is a great achievement and it gave us the fulfilment of having achieved something.”

Future plans: “Currently we are the co-sponsors of the Bhupen Khakhar show at Tate Modern in London, and are hoping that the Himmat Shah exhibition also travels to a museum abroad.”
