Tanaaz Bhatia has the final word on media

Tanaaz Bhatia started as a mergers and acquisitions banker, with a focus on media, and did a brief stint at Citibank before taking on media full time. It was this vital experience covering media companies and planning effective growth strategies combined with her passion for cinema that compelled her to create Bottomline. Not a fish out of water, she says, “My company model is a little different. Movies, Media, Marketing are the 3 Ms we do. Being a media banker, we cover marketing for movies, are specialists in brand placement and manage celebrities and talent. In effect, we act as a one-stop shop for brands and production houses.” The young entrepreneur has even starred in Rahul Dholakia’s Lamhaa which she helped market. Producers Bunty Walia and Dholakia, whom she considers close friends, convinced her to take on a different role. “It was a great experience, because for once it was me behind as well as in front of the camera,” she smiles. The ambitious achiever believes “positive thinking and perseverance can get you anything and anywhere. Professionally, strong business ethics, dedication and hard work are the mantras to success.”
