Role Call

Text by Faye Remedios

From movies to shows, Shruti Seth is a busy lass this year

That former veejay-turned-actor Shruti Seth is excited about her role in Slumdog Millionaire is an understatement. “In fact, I’ve saved my call sheet with Danny Boyle’s notes on it. Slumdog Millionaire will always be an emotional highlight for me. I am extremely proud of its rave reviews and success,” she chirps. Circa 2009 is going to be a busy year for Shruti, what with two movies slated for release – Khalbali and UTV Spotboy’s Aage Se Right. “There’s one more film that I cannot talk about right now because of a non-disclosure agreement. Suffice to say it’s a very bold role.”  Plus, she will be part of Comedy Circus 3 and will anchor Honda Stunner, a show that will find a hot male to be the face of the Honda motorcycle. Nothing beats yoga when it comes to unwinding, says Shruti who likes to take off to Goa every now and then to relax. “The surf, sun and sand are really de-stressing!”
