The Executive Director and President (Marketing) of the Godrej Group is a tough inheritor of her father’s mantle. An alumnus of Brown University and the Harvard Business School, Dubash is credited with the changing perception of the Godrej brand, making it fresh and youthful and bringing in a high level of emotional intelligence to the company. The vibrant Godrej logo redesign and the recent Aamir Khan campaign for the group are two different ways in which Dubash has enabled the group to connect with young India. And her rapid expansion of Nature’s Basket stores across the country has ensured that urban India gets its gourmet delicacies on time! Dubash is also on the board of directors of Bhartiya Mahila Bank, India’s first bank for women.

On family business: “When you come from a family business, you are surrounded by talk of business. It was more than just work.”

Signature traits: Is calm, pragmatic and a good listener.

Time out: Loves spending time with her husband, Arvind and her kids, Aryan and Azaar, and watching films.

A typical day: “It’s quite a juggle, but a lot of fun. I cannot wait to run back to my boys.”

Motherhood: “It has changed and softened me.”

Enjoys: Reading. What the Dog Saw, Man’s Search for Meaning and Eat Pray and Love are her favourites.

Key to a good work-life balance: “A happy family life.”
