Actress Pooja Gor spills the beans on her favourite books, movies, brands and more

Currently playing Dr. Roshni on Life OK’s new medical drama Ek Nayi Ummeed – Roshni, Pooja Gor’s claim to fame was playing the feisty Pratigya on the Star Plus show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. The sprightly 24-year-old tells Verve about some of her favourite things.

1. First time you faced the camera… “It was when I was 17 years old…in December 2008 to be precise.”

2. The moment you felt you had arrived… “When I got to be in the same frame as Big B on KBC.”

3. Your biggest creative inspiration… “Meryl Streep and the variety of characters played by her.”

4. A character you want to play… “I have never tried negative roles. So a completely dark character would be interesting.”

5. Biggest challenge in the industry… “To find the exact kind of work you want to do.”

6. Best compliment you have received… “That I portray a scene convincingly.”

7. Favourite brands… “Louis Vuitton, Burberry.”

8. Travel destinations on your list… “Europe and Japan.”

9. A book you can’t put down… “The Secret by ‎Rhonda Byrne.”

10. A film you never get tired of… “Julie and Julia.”

11. Your idea of a perfect date… “Popcorn, cold drink or pizza and beer at home while watching a movie. I am too simple and boring.”

12. Songs you are currently obsessed with… “Teri Meri Kahaani from Gabbar Is Back”

13. If not an actor, you would have been… “Married with kids.”

14. Success to you means… “Being happy and content with what you have at the moment. If one is happy and content then you have found success. Because otherwise there’s no end….”
