Model Fashionista
Natasha Ramachandran’s mother didn’t allow her to wear even the smallest of heels till she was 15. “In my childhood and teen years, it was mostly a ‘Dress your age and dress smart’ kind of a routine,” she rewinds.
The sassy girl had a taste of the spotlight when she modelled for her high school shows. Fashion being a coveted world for her, she applied to the National Institute of Fashion Technology to study fashion designing. Heavy course-work and classes didn’t deter her from squeezing in any opportunity to model. She says, “Since I enjoyed modelling, I thought I should try my hand at it at a serious level after graduation.”
She moved to Mumbai from Pune to audition for the Lakmé Fashion Week where she debuted this year. Her slender 177cm frame strutted with enough grace for London Fashion Week designers to vie for her. “I want to maintain a steady growth in my modelling career for who knows what awaits you the next day.”
