WIFW Fashion Report: Rishta by Arjun Saluja
The silhouettes are following a more streamlined path, the layers are being pared down, styling details are getting a keen eye over. Saluja’s ensembles have always spoken volumes on finish and tailoring; this time the looks were broken down, the separates revealed themselves in a clearer format with each piece working on its own rather than lending support to a complete look. And there were some standout stars – a turtle collar sleek coat, a simplistic looking siren red shirt that flowed into a tailcoat style back with a fluttering trail and the distressed, rather ‘dilapidated’ leather jackets with multiple zips topped the lust list. Prints, panels, darts were used in clever moderation and the usual thoughtful mix of seasonal fabrics like wool, silk and plaid will make this collection a winter wardrobe staple.
