9 Unmissable Looks From the VMAs 2015
Text by Wyanet Vaz
If you don’t already know, Kanye West announced that he wants to run for President in 2020. Besides the West wing going overboard with #KanyeForPrez hashtags and memes, the VMAs also bought with it ogle-worthy gowns, a Miley vs Nicki feud, and of course outrageous clothing. Held in Los Angeles, the Microsoft Theater bustled with all our favourite pop stars and the controversies they came with.
Ciara was spotted in this badass Alexandre Vauthier dress. She perfectly sports this season’s favourite trend with fringes and gold detailing.
This wandering princess turned up at the VMAs in a gorgeous Naeem Khan applique gown. Props to her for pulling off the look with extreme ease.
Pairing a crop-top with sparkly PJs by Ashish, Taylor Swift shows us how to comfortably throw those punches.
Selena Gomez played it safe with this Calvin Klein gown. It was quite refreshing compared to the overwhelming looks on the carpet. However, we still feel that a little drama does no harm.
In black and bold, Rita Ora wore this Vera Wang gown, whose highlight was of course the voluminous ostrich feathers.
Looking like an award herself, Nicki Minaj boosted the overall sex appeal in this Labourjoisie gown.
If you were missing out on Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez and their sheer gowns, Miley Cyrus clearly topped the charts. Sporting this very slinky number from Atelier Versace, we know why she managed to break the internet.
If sex appeal is what you are looking for, Emily Ratajkowski comes with a truck load. In knee high boots and this Altuzarra gown, this girl definitely came with swag.
Demi Lovato wore a pink Nicolas Jebran mini dress with mosaic cutwork. We like her slick hair-do and perfectly done nude make-up.
