Nirav Modi’s Empire State of Diamonds

Nirav Modi’s new store puts the ‘big’ in the Big Apple

Stroll around Madison Avenue today, and the award for the most glittering spot would undoubtedly go to Nirav Modi’s newest jewellery boutique. Like a fitting addition to all the luxury stores that line the shopping boulevard, this is a first for any Indian jeweller, and promises the American woman a taste of iconic Indian bling.

Sticking to the signature store template, this 700-square-foot boutique has been designed by the same Spanish artist-designer, Jamie Haydon, who has been the creative mind behind the Mumbai and Delhi flagship stores.

But, what’s really grabbing our attention is that this Nirav Modi store is one of the only two retailers to offer Argyle Pink Diamonds, which as any enthusiast can tell, are the most sought-after pink diamonds in the world.

Those who aren’t into the conventional candy floss pink, can toy with their famous Constellation necklace, the diamond Embrace bangles or experiment with Mughal jewellery. And if you’re willing to splurge on a Christmas present a little early this year, we deeply recommend their new Maharani Diamond necklace which will be unveiled at the launch party atop the Rockefeller Centre. Priced at 1.5 million dollars, the neck piece comprises of diamonds weighing over 230 carats and has been set in 18k white gold. We’re told that these Taveez Cut diamonds took over two years to source, and we are certain they wouldn’t look as good on a lust-list as they would on you, what?
