Louis Vuitton’s collection for Cruise 2016 spanned across experimental fashion with a bit of Indianness, all enveloped within the mystic mountains of Palm Springs, Los Angeles

We have two things to celebrate. One is Nicolas Ghesquière’s idea of experimental and unconstrained fashion, and the second is model Pooja Mor’s debut on the Louis Vuitton runway (we assume you have already spotted her on Verve’s May cover as well).

Besides our India shining moment, we’re fixed on Louis Vuitton’s Cruise collection for 2016. Showcased at the Bob Hope estate, Ghesiquère manages to capture hardcore LA elements and reflects them in his clothes. The line-up features maxi skirts paired with desert boots and leather belts. From scuba jackets to sporty tailored trousers and printed prairie dresses, this is the perfect wardrobe for those who drift towards the edge. Talking about resortwear, we’re loving the resurrection of hot pants. As seen on the runway here, they have been paired with suede boxer jackets, silk blouses and army sweaters. This is all the inspiration we need to work for those toned limbs.
