“We are not crazy, silly or irrational when we find ourselves comparing our freckles to another woman’s, or when we spend our entire pay cheque at the beauty store. Naomi Wolfe, in her book The Beauty Myth, says that deep down these reasons are cultural and bent by patriarchy. This third wave feminism may bad-mouth ‘ideal beauty’, but the lines are always blurred and the real question remains, ‘how far is too far?’’’.
