Is a balanced lifestyle key to beautiful skin?
What you put in your body is just as important as what you put on it! To me, a balanced living means having a positive outlook, making time for the important things in life and focusing on good habits. I’ve found that sticking to the basics helps. Here are some of my personal tips on how to incorporate balance into your lifestyle: Eat healthy, exercise regularly, learn to prioritise, be socially active, have fun, get creative and give back to the society/family.

Whats the connection to Eastern medicine?
My passion for wellness has opened me up to alternative healing practices, including a more holistic approach to nutrition and holistic practices like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), yoga, acupuncture and different types of massage. Whenever I head out to Telluride, Colorado, one of my best-kept secrets is to visit Josh Geetter, a TCM practitioner and acupuncturist that I’ve been seeing for years.  Sessions with Josh are amazing — I always feel centred and energised, and invariably leave with some new herb or tea that becomes part of my wellness routine. Recently I’ve been learning about the next big holistic wave, Ayurveda, which actually is a centuries-old Indian medicine practice that focuses on healing and living a healthy lifestyle through balanced food, herbs, yoga, massage, aroma, meditation, and other practices.

What’s the one product you can’t live without?
Concealer is my ‘desert-island cosmetic’ – I wouldn’t dream of living without it. It’s the one product that I feel most dramatically improves the way you look. When applied correctly, it instantly makes you appear awake and refreshed—like you’ve had 8 hours of sleep—no matter what’s going on in the outside world.

What’s the difference between the original concealer and corrector formulas and the new formulas?

Tell us about a star ingredient and why it is so…
Indian Mukul Myrrh Tree extract is one of the star ingredients in Bobbi’s new concealer and corrector formulas. It’s a highly valued botanical gum/resin that has been used for centuries in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties to treat a wide variety of conditions. In terms of topical treatment, the extract is known as a specialty ingredient traditionally used in skincare for its 3-D plumping effect.

Ageing typically appears first around the eyes because the skin around eyes is ten times thinner than the skin on the face. Constant movement, such as blinking with an average of 10,000 times a day also contributes to fine lines and wrinkles.

The Indian Mukul Myrrh Tree extract counteracts thinning by increasing lipid storage and plumping the under eye area, visibly lifting and filling in wrinkles. Plus…this extract is a naturally derived ingredient that’s harvested in the west of India through organic farming.
