Hottest Looks From The Grammys 2016 Red Carpet
Text by Tanisha Choudhury
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards were full of unexpected highs – Lin Manuel Miranda rapped his acceptance speech when Hamilton won Best Theatre Album, Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for 1989, and took a dig at Kanye during her speech, Lady Gaga paid David Bowie an emotional tribute that would’ve made the starman proud and Kendrick Lamar won big, including Best Rap Album for To Pimp a Butterfly.
What were predictable, were the unconventional fashion choices some stars made on the red carpet. At the Grammys, the usual rule is the more out-there, the better. This year, regulars of the red carpet toned things down and kept it simple, to excellent results.
While we do love Lady Gaga’s thorough tribute to David Bowie, even before her performance and Bella Hadid’s bold black number, we especially loved Adele’s simple look worn with the Givenchy dress. Liane La Havas let her Vivienne Westwood dress do the talking and we love the clean and fresh make-up. Taylor Swift added a burst of colour to the red carpet and her bestie, Selena Gomez kept it simple but sexy in a Calvin Klein cut-out dress.
