Dior Invited 6 Artists To Reinterpret Its Most Iconic Bag
It’s always exciting when a fashion house collaborates with an artist and the #DiorLadyArt project is no exception. Earlier this year, to celebrate the opening of the House of Dior in London, the brand had invited contemporary artist Marc Quinn to put his stamp on the iconic Lady Dior bag.
Taking this project a step further, the brand recently collaborated with six other contemporary British and American artists — Ian Davenport, Jason Martin, Matthew Porter, Mat Collishaw, Chris Martin and Daniel Gordon — asking them to reimagine this classic. While the artists were given complete freedom to play with materials and designs, the fashion house appears to have really pushed itself in its efforts to realise their vision. The result is a collection of covetable limited edition pieces that will be unveiled at Dior’s Miami boutique, in a Los Angeles pop-up store, and later in Korea, London, China, Dubai and Paris.
