Designer Focus: Gauri & Nainika

Known for their immaculate flair to create red carpet-worthy outfits, the designer-duo showcased a successful ideation of path-breaking innovation. Stunning silhouettes, some restrained and other striking cuts, along with a soothing colour palette brought together this distinctively futuristic glam collection, executed with apt, consistent thought. Structured dresses, flowy and voluminous gowns enhanced with prints inspired from the repercussions of global warming and nature-moved textural motifs made for an impactful stand-out showing. Given the caliber of Gauri and Nainka, we expected the line to be flawless. But in their motive of giving back to the planet, a few prints became a tad bit overpowering digressing from the fashion plot.
