Day 2: Best Dressed at Cannes Film Festival 2016
Compiled by Tanisha Choudhury
Day 2 saw the stars walk the red carpet for the premiere of the Jodie Foster directed Money Monster. While all eyes were on the Clooneys, Julia Roberts stole the show by making her debut on the Cannes red carpet barefoot. Yes, to (presumably) take a stand against the festival’s unwritten but strict guidelines requiring all women to wear high heels to the red carpet, Julia Roberts entered wearing stilettos, but while making her way to the premiere venue, took them off and walked the rest of the way completely barefoot.

Amal Clooney and George Clooney
George Clooney looked dapper in an Armani suit as he was accompanied by wife Amal Clooney, looking classy in a lemon yellow, Atelier Versace gown with a thigh-high slit. The charming couple and their red carpet chemistry made us swoon, as always.
Julia Roberts looked every bit like the classic movie star that she is, in a beautifully draped, black Armani Privé gown. We love the off-shoulder, draped sleeves and of course, the fact that she pulled off this glamorous look without any shoes on!
Jessica Chastain looked equal parts fierce and feminine, in her bejewelled Alexander McQueen gown. The Piaget diamonds and pink lip added just the right kind of glamour to this surreal dress.
Julianne Moore looked rather refreshing in her Louis Vuitton dress with the car-wash style skirt. We love the edgy clutch.
Naomi Watts looked classic and modern chic at the same time in her slinky, beaded Michael Kors slip dress.
