Catch A Retrospective of Bhupen Khakhar’s Works in London
Painter, playwright, and writer – Bhupen Khakhar was a man of many talents. At the first international retrospective since his death in 2003, viewers will be able to witness artworks from the creative genius’ oeuvre. Bringing together Khakhar’s works from several collections and galleries around the world, the exhibition includes his canvas creations, watercolour paintings and experimental ceramics. Curated by Chris Dercon, Director, Tate Modern and Nada Raza, Assistant Curator, Tate Modern, the show offers the perfect window into the life and times of a much-celebrated master of contemporary art.
The exhibition is sponsored by Deutsche Bank and has been made possible by the support of Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), New Delhi. It will travel to Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle in Berlin in November 2016.
