Flowers that look like colourful pools. Monochrome images of nature that look like paintings. Artistes have a way of looking at the world that others usually don’t. In its 10th season of exhibitions, Tasveer brings together the works of two creators in a show, Gardens of the Mind, that juxtaposes their ways of chronicling elements of nature.
In his photo series Watercolour, celebrated French photographer Gilles Bensimon worked with fresh flowers and water to create fascinating palettes, transforming them into abstract artworks that enthrall at every viewing. And on the opposite spectrum are the works of Indian artist Swapan Nayak, whose Radha: A Love in Eternity collection of monochromes explore purity, divinity and consciousness. This show is a true walk through the gardens of your mind and creativity.
Gardens of the Mind is on display at Tasveer, Bengaluru (Sua House, 26/1 Kasturba Cross Road) until November 14, 2015
