What impact does news have without an image to go with it? As part of its 10th anniversary exhibitions, Tasveer presents Legacy of Photojournalism: The Deepak Puri Collection, in association with the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) Bangalore.

A selection from Time magazine’s former photo-editor Deepak Puri’s collection, the images bring out the genius of the true masters of the trade. On display are pictures captured by over 30 internationally-renowned photographers, including Raghu Rai, James Nachtwey, Sebastião Salgado, Prashant Panjiar and Diane Barker. Hard-hitting and striking, in both colour and monochrome, the images on show, above all, highlight the power of photography as a medium of storytelling.

Legacy of Photojournalism: The Deepak Puri Collection is on display at Tarq, Mumbai (F35/36, Dhanraj Mahal, Apollo Bunder, Colaba) until May 26, 2016.
