Jehangir Nicholson, one of the country’s top connoisseurs of art, had a definite eye for talent. And a new exhibition in Mumbai takes a look at the journeys of eight artists he admired. Through their artworks, the show traces the influences, lives and practices of each artist through changing time and history. From Anju and Atul Dodiya, Baiju Parthan and Nalini Malani to Sudhir Patwardhan, Sunil Gawde, Vivan Sundaram and Zarina Hashmi, this exhibition puts together the best canvases by some of India’s master artists. Art lovers, this one is unmissable.
The Journey Is The Destination is on display at Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, Mumbai (CSMVS, 159/61, MG Road, Kala Ghoda) until June 30, 2016.
