The Zodiac Grill: Never Again
I bite the camembert dariole on my plate,
It melts instantly in my mouth.
I take a sip of the sparkling champagne,
And silently toast the end of an era.
Twenty-six years ago it opened it’s doors…
Patrons charmed with culinary drama and finesse.
Oberoi and Kerkar outdid themselves,
On occasions special, with memories staunch.
On the ‘sun-kissed’ domed ceiling above,
The sun, stars and signs of the Zodiac,
Wink and whisper and hold a mirror to the past,
While the pianist plays The Godfather Theme.
