For her on-point marksmanship and bringing home the gold medal at the 8th Asian Air Gun Championship last year

Former world number one and currently one of the country’s best shots, Heena Sidhu is not only vying for Olympic gold in Rio this year but is also looking forward to moulding many more like her as director of the Ronak Pandit Shooting Centre.

Biggest learning: “Keeping your emotions in check…it’s also a challenge.”

True power: “The ability or position to make a difference.”

Throwback time: “The gold and world record at International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup finals in Munich in 2013.”

On the upcoming Olympics: “I must train hard and smart so that I’m good for a podium finish each time. I just focus on following my process and delivering a good performance. If I perform up to my potential, then I am happy.”

On being an inspiration: “I feel responsible because I must come across as a positive inspiration and make everyone believe that if I can, so can you.”
