WIFW Fashion Report: Sanchita
Sanchita always manages to get her finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist. Even when chooses the flapper era as food for thought, it takes on an almost edgy Japanese tilt with funky headbands, slouchy silhouettes and a school-girl-fashion-icon-vibe. Print combatted print with florals creeping into wide, bold stripes – a combination that was repeated on dresses, bomber jackets and other separates to great effect. Bustle skirts took on a contemporary style and signature lounge chic rose forth again with the chocolate silk pants. There was a gamut of fabrics being played around with – duchesse nylon, silk twill, polyamide jersey, fur, silk organza. All flowed seamlessly from carefree daywear to Art Deco evening looks; a favourite of ours being an ombré shaved fur bodice with a stiff wired sequin skirt.
