How To Make Your Own Beauty Potions
Oils can help you flaunt a glowing complexion, and get lustrous hair. The right blends of lavender, geranium, chamomile, tea tree and rose can heal acne, pigmentation, tanning, hair loss, blemishes, tiredness, dandruff, roughness and even nail discoloration. Rupal Tyagi, aromatherapist, perfumer and founder, Wikka, tells us how to concoct our own beauty potions:
Face Toner: For normal to dry skin, use one drop of geranium essential oil and chamomile essential oil in 50 ml of rose water. For oily skin, use 4-5 drops of lavender oil, tea tree oil and sandalwood oil each in 50ml distilled water or rose water. Store this toner in a spray bottle and use it two times a day. This is completely natural and it will make your face glow.
Acne Corrector: Splash your face regularly with a blend of cider vinegar and lavender oil to soothe the acne prone skin. You can also create your own acne solution by mixing aloe vera gel with a few drops of tea tree essential oil.
Relaxing Foot Soak: Just add your favorite essential oil (10-12 drops) in water and soak your feet in it. It will relax your nerves just like a foot-spa.
Anti-Ageing Boost: Almond oil, rosemary oil and lavender oil work wonders in preventing ageing signs. Just mix 1-2 drops in your regular night cream for an added boost.
