On the occasion of Turkey’s National Day, Art Spice Gallery at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, New Delhi and Verve commemorated its culture through the medium of art. The showing of celebrated artist Serdar Leblebici’s works – On the Edge of the City – displayed the glorious heritage of Turkey on Indian soil. The evening was inaugurated by Burak Akcapar, ambassador of the Republic of Turkey.
Seen admiring the artworks were personalities from various walks of life like Isabel Padilla, Manzoor Ali Memon, Mirzosharif A. Jalolov, Tarcisius Eri, Ibrahim A. Hajiyev, Hassan M. Al Jawarneh, Alphonsus Stoelinga, Daniele Mancini, Ina Puri, Sunaina Malhotra and Nandini Singh.
Turkish music played gently in the background at the Garden of Joy at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa as Turkish hors d’oeuvres did the rounds of the space. Lights on the trees enhanced the fairy tale like effect and some of the paintings were showcased on easels amidst the verdant ambience of the Garden of Joy in the hotel. The evening – also supported by luxury lifestyle store Craft House – saw a raffles draw by Turkish Airlines.
And the evening co-hosted by Verve saw the successful showcasing of an artistic series that made a culture come alive.
