This Double Olympic Gold Medallist Will Inspire You
If you’ve been following our social media platforms, you wouldn’t have missed our Power list of the most-admirable women leaders in India. As this movement is underway, Clinique just shared with us their ‘Difference Maker’ campaign, that also highlights inspirational women who’ve stood up to challenges despite overwhelming odds.
The campaign involves the storytelling of six incredible women Gina Rodriguez, Erendira Ibarra, Victoria Pendleton, Jessica Nkosi, Nazan Eckes, and Ning Chang. In less than three minutes they’ve shared personal messages of empowerment and believe that one change can make a difference.
In time with the upcoming Olympics, Clinique exclusively shares with us a video featuring Victoria Pendleton – a former sprint cyclist Olympian, European and Commonwealth champion from England. “I was told that I was too puny to be a sprint cyclist, I didn’t have the right mentality, I wasn’t strong enough.” The double Olympic gold medallist’s take on hurdles is something one can relate to, even while dealing with everyday struggles, “It’s easy to say I can’t, I won’t or it’s not for me. It’s way more exciting to think, what if? And just go for it!”
