Night at the Opera
As Mumbai’s modern metropolis welcomed the baroque-styled Royal Opera House once again into its cultural scene, we dressed our part for the very first concert post its restoration. The opulent ceiling, intricate stairways, and ornate chandeliers complemented Mumbai-born British soprano Patricia Rosario’s entertaining performance. In conversation with the Verve team, she even recollected her shoot with our magazine at Hyde Park years ago!
While guided tours will begin shortly, we think it’s time to bring out your pearls and chiffon saris, and explore this heritage site brought back to life by conservation architect Abha Narain Lambah and the royal Gondal family.
