What are our ‘Codes of Culture’? A group show in New Delhi attempts to portray them through art

Giving abstract art and installations a twist, seven artists have come together in a group show titled Codes of Culture, to ‘highlight a conceptual intersection of ideas and references alluding to codes of language, memory, structure, space, and culture’.

Featuring works by Astha Butail, Spencer Finch, Bharti Kher, Tahireh Lal, Prabhavathi Meppayil, Sreshta Rit Premnath, and Navin Thomas, the exhibition will get the viewer to attempt to understand the notion of time, and the frameworks of their perception of art, and the world.

Codes of Culture is on display at Gallery SKE, New Delhi (Shivam House, 14-F Middle Circle, Connaught Place) until March 4, 2015.
