Artisanal food meet cosy cafes in the state of culinary surprises

Burger Factory – Morjim, Goa

The newly opened Burger Factory in Morjim is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea, while you eat delicious artisanal burgers with thin, crisp hand-cut potato chips and sample some original cocktails.

After successfully running the highly acclaimed Burger Factory in Anjuna for the last five years, Mayank Dube opened a branch in Morjim in partnership with TV actress Shweta Salve and her husband, Submerge co-founder Hermit Sethi. Shweta’s design aesthetic lends a sense of whimsy to the decor — an old wooden door frame that leads out to the beach, swings at tables, a canopy of baskets over the bar and lights under books hanging from trees. The friendly staff along with the adorable pets add to the warmth of the place, making Burger Factory a must-visit on any day.

On the menu are some sumptuous gourmet burgers with exciting and unexpected flavours including the best-selling beef burger with green chilli, cheddar, and bacon. The vegetarian offerings aren’t far behind in their aim to impress — the spinach and mushroom burger with blue cheese and the black bean with cheddar and corn are not to be missed. The burgers are big, juicy and full of texture and flavor.

Summer cocktails that include concoctions from a pepper and bacon bloody mary to an original gin basil and pineapple crush are perfect for washing down the sliders and burgers. They also offer locally sourced gelatos and sorbets — the perfect way to end a fulfilling meal.
