CANDY AND GREEN
This new Breach Candy hangout boasts of a plush venue and innovative vegetarian menu. From house cocktails and freshly brewed cold-pressed juices to homegrown ingredients, this eatery strikes the perfect balance between catering to your taste buds and watching your diet. The multi-storey restaurant has an indoor set-up (perfect for an afternoon cup of coffee), above which is the open-air rooftop and the third level houses the garden that grows most of the green produce.
Founder Shraddha Bhansali’s idea is simple: “If it’s something I wouldn’t eat, I wouldn’t serve it either”. What sets the eatery apart is that most of the ingredients are either grown in the rooftop garden or sourced locally. Dive into the rubies and pearls salad – a mix of pearl barley, feta, greens and pomegranate. Their fresh summer rolls include carefully wrapped pickled veggies and tofu in rice paper. Continue with the spiced soy kebabs or the black rice risotto cooked in truffle oil and garlic confit. Each plate on the menu will leave you feeling fresh, light and highly energised.
Drink up All seven concoctions on the menu will have you reaching for round two. These tipples bring together innovative ingredients like vanilla and hibiscus with sparkling wine; muskmelon and kaffir lime with vodka; mango, on-the-spot ground bird’s eye chilli and tequila!
Au natural The fact that nothing on the menu uses any essence or flavouring makes it a winner. Try the no more depresso mousse, which uses freshly churned hazelnuts, has a hint of coffee, and is made from whipped tofu.
