Today, Lower Parel is home to almost every cuisine under the sun and Desi Culture takes it a notch above by bringing together a variety of gastronomies and creating plates full of fusion foods. Walking down to the restaurant, what catches the eye first is the unique décor, a centre partition with antiques, hand painted pots and cutlery holding miniature trucks on every table.

The extensive food menu has a plethora of options that pique the interest. From the ragda pattice that comes with jalapeno cheese foam, sev puri enveloped in a liquid nitrogen to the filling Punjabi thali, the food does taste foreign to the Indian palate but eventually grows on you. What stands out are the mixology marvels — most of them being unique and blended to perfection. The Shikanji mojito came with flavour and presentation to support. A sweeter, more syrupy option would be the Jamaican paradise which looks like an exotic island in a cup.
