For mastering the shift dress in every colour and shape

Personal style
Comfortable and eclectic. I like to throw things together so it’s not a studied or formal approach to dressing. It is very organic and entirely mood-based. It is funny that I feel certain things look nice only on some days.

Sustainable fashion
For me, a given, I don’t go hunting for it. I used to wear designs by Himanshu and Sonali, and I currently wear a lot of Rajesh Pratap Singh, Wendell Rodricks, Savio Jon — all comfort clothing and they’ve all been working with sustainable materials for many years. Everything needs to be sustainable today.

Newly discovered organic labels
Verandah by Anjali, Péro by Aneeth Arora and Rahul Mishra.

Style a sari
I love the sari and I don’t think there’s another garment like it. The challenge for me is the blouse and the petticoat; the day someone can crack those two things, they’ll have given the sari longevity and an eternal space.

Key to great skin
Sleep right and eat right every day.

Travel essentials
Bright lipstick, a good haircut, basic jerseys, comfy shoes — I always wear flats and carry a face cleanser.

Best piece of advice
Clothes should never wear you, you should wear them.

If found deserted on an island you would be wearing
One of my shift dresses.

Next, Anushka Manchanda.
