No Frills To Fashion

Inspiration struck her while she was studying at the Indian School of Business and, shortly thereafter, Varsha Bhawnani started Vinegar Exports and began exporting high fashion clothing to the US, Spain, Russia and the Dominican Republic. Soon, she launched her fashion studio Vinegar in the by-lanes of Bandra, Mumbai.  “You get exactly what you’re asking for,” is her no-frills mantra. Her personalised service allows the bride-to-be to put up her feet. Although starting off exclusively with western wear, finding interesting twists for traditional Indian outfits has become a new passion of sorts for her. “We recently did a wedding in Kerala where the bride wore a traditional sari with a dhoti and jacket for one of her functions!”
