Tariq Vasudeva’s passion for drama extends to dabbling in the absurd and the dark side of the theatrical

A passion that coloured his childhood has become his career today. The Delhi-born and brought up Tariq Vasudeva who is now acclaimed for his performances in plays like Project S.T.R.I.P, The Interview, Love Puke, Robin Cruzo… studied history and theatre for four years in America, from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he honed his knowledge about different forms of acting. To him, “Acting is all about energy, passion and a platform to be real and natural. As an actor, I believe it’s important to be flexible and versatile. You must have the ability to imagine and be someone the audiences can relate to.”  A fascination for dark comedy fills his imagination and he would like to do a Samuel Beckett or Harold Pinter. So, theatre, ads, or films, Tariq is game for all of them: “I approach scripts very differently as I break them down to understand the character. I do what is given, big or small, as I feel there are no small parts just small actors.”
