PARIDHI SUKHANI, FASHION ENTREPRENEUR
Organising various trunk shows and events in the city, Paridhi is a common face in the city’s social circle. Sure enough she knows what the women in the city are wearing and the changing fashion scene in Kolkata. “The women here are definitely getting more conscious and aware of their sartorial choices. There is a fair amount of them travelling and therefore are exposed to international fashion in a greater way,” she explains. “My own style is experimental to some extent, but never OTT. I do like to stick to classics sometimes and am not much of a trend junkie. In my wardrobe you’ll find outfits by Indian designers like Amit Aggarwal, Sailex, Anand Bhushan and Mayank and Shradha Nigam to name a few.” Pari, as her friends fondly call her is bubbly and effervescent and echoes of her laughter resonate in the suite where we are shooting. “I never leave my house without a statement bag. One that can fit in all my essentials and look good at the same time. Louis Vuitton bags have been my go-to travel companions for as long as I can remember. I bought my first one in Paris years ago and still can’t get enough of it. We are travelling to Italy and Greece next month so obviously there’s a lot of shopping in the pipeline!” she adds with a glimmer in her eyes.
