Model Ketholeno Kense is humbled by the accolades and hopes to inspire others of her ilk to follow in her footsteps

Last year, she won the Kingfisher Calendar Hunt 2014, and 25-year-old model Ketholeno Kense, popularly known as Leno, says, “It was the most challenging thing I have done so far. The three to four hours of sleep a day and continuous work were brutal, but all the hard work was worth it”.

Denims, oversized shirts, and an array of shoes and sunglasses are her wardrobe staples; and when asked about her preferred body type she opts for a toned, healthy body — but on a cheat day she would undoubtedly vote for bacon. Bollywood is vibrant, says the Nagaland-born model, who is upbeat about an upcoming political movie project that she is working on.

An enthusiastic poser and eager Instagrammer, Ketholeno is modest about her work so far — which includes appearing on magazine covers, shooting for fashion spreads and sashaying down the ramp at fashion weeks. She states, “I never expected to reach this far. I feel blessed knowing that I have put hope in other models from the North-East. It’s incredibly humbling to know that I can inspire someone.”
