Mansi Multani – who revelled in her role as Olivia in an adaptation of Twelfth Night – straddles several mediums in her creative journey

At 25, Mansi Multani has worked with some of the biggest names in theatre such as Akash and Akarsh Khurana and Chandan Roy Sehgal, recorded jingles for radio, anchored corporate events, starred in advertisements and even crossed over to do films (Kramm and Jo Hum Chahein). She is currently taking curtain calls, touring with Atul Kumar’s Piya Behrupiya and Sunil Shanbag’s Stories In A Song.

On her many facets she says, “Theatre has, is, and will always be, my first love. It is the most challenging medium. While television requires tremendous stamina and films offer much excitement, nothing can surpass theatre. We performed Piya Behrupiya which is an adaptation of Twelfth Night at London in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. I play Olivia in it, and we got a standing ovation. It was fantastic and also humbling.”

On maturing as a performer, she believes, “Actors should stay true to their craft and constantly remain in touch with it. If that involves learning something new, as long as it helps you grow as a performer, you should definitely do it.”
