Giving her legacy her unique spin, the CEO of Parle Agro Pvt. Ltd is a motivational and grounded head.

I believe that one should not worry about getting ahead of everyone else. Worry about getting ahead of yourself. Use your strengths to stand up for what you believe in.

Every dawn heralds a new day and has different challenges that I learn from. Working with a team that has so much passion and motivation makes work-life fun.

My first step as a boss was to smarten up. Never start thinking you know it all because that’s never going to happen.

I do not have doors to my cabin space. The open-door policy makes it easy to interact with people who feel that I am approachable.

I’ve always learnt to admit it when I’m wrong. I find that that actually makes me a bigger person and people can trust me more.

I listen to my gut. Whenever I’ve gone against my intuition it’s always been a disaster.

I enjoy dressing up and looking good because then I feel good. I find that my salt-and-pepper hair looks elegant and natural. It compliments me and adds to my personality.

You create your own luck with perseverance, tolerance and teamwork.

I give and do not always expect to get back. I give because I can — whether it is food for street kids, toys for children or clothes for old-age homes.

The most important asset to invest in is your own self!
