Verve decodes Nachiket Barve’s Fall-Winter 2014 collection at Wills India Fashion Week….
Upping his game considerably, Barve waged forward, taking a newer, bolder direction that will be sure to pay off when his collection hits the stores. Gone were the soft textures and the feminine hues; this fall winter showing boasted rich jewel tones, minute laser cutwork, in-your-face patterns and silhouettes that were either effortlessly careless or unforgivingly chic. All of which could well be key trends for winter. ‘Maia’, translated as the brave warrior, was an apt enough inspiration with Maori ‘Ta Moko’ tattoos researched to create the embroidery pattern. We loved how even the fringe details took on a harder edge. From the oversized short cape to the suede pumps with zipper borders, this range will appeal to any woman with individual style.
