Our 21st anniversary issue makes a conscious effort to break gender, career, relationship and cultural stereotypes. As traditions give way to new rituals, we document the rise of the unconventional bride. Accepting the concept of space, playing an equal part in parenting, and role-reversals are welcome additions to the matrimonial bible.

Jaipur Jewels’ collection titled Myga (which means ‘fly’ in Greek) is made for this invincible bride. By using wings as the primary motif in the collection, the campaign aims to empower young girls into believing that ‘compromise’ and ‘choice’ do not define a marriage. This dreamily-shot video that highlights the inner thoughts of a woman is a lesson in self-expression and individuality.
