1. Signature Beauty Statement… “I go for a low-key, no-fuss look, which is why I prefer delicate make-up. I use corrective concealer, and a bit of eyeshadow or gloss over a bare face.”

2. Favourite make-up palette… “I prefer light shades like pink and peach. The lighter it is, the better it is for me. I am usually not adventurous with my make-up but at times, I try something different with my eyes to make them more expressive.”

3. Beauty Nostalgia… “All through my growing years, I saw Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant on my mother’s dressing table. It has become my staple as well.”

4. Vanity Essentials… “On my dressing table, you will always find sunscreen, eyebrow pencil, mascara, hairdryer, detangling comb, retinol cream, nude and bright-toned nail polishes, perfume and candles. My eternal favourites include La Mer moisturising cream, Dior eyeliner, Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Body Cream, Guerlain lipsticks and Dolce & Gabbana foundation.”

5. Beauty High… “A good head massage. It’s my antidote to stress.”

6. Treasured Beauty Secret… “My mother massaged her face with a mix of water and olive oil, and was particular about washing it off with lukewarm water. This works  like magic on skin.”

7. Favourite Scent… “The Chanel Coromandel is beautiful. I like its earthy and balsamic notes. It’s deep, unique and ahead of its time. To sum it up, it’s me.”

8. Being Beautiful… “Without being comfortable in your own skin, you can’t be beautiful. Everyone has a different idea of beauty. Authenticity makes a person beautiful to me. I believe it’s the attitude you wear that makes a bolder statement than the latest fashion or beauty trend.”
