While one side of the world saw an outrage at the Grammys, the other side witnessed a celebrity prom at the 68th British Academy Film Awards. The queenly affair saw very less of experimental fashion, as most played it safe with ethereal gowns in bright, bold hues. Take a look at the winners on the red carpet.

Our favourite on the red carpet is definitely Lea Seydoux in this canary yellow gown by Prada. The bold cutout, fancy pleats and flattering lip colour scored a perfect 10.
Looking sleek in Lanvin, Amy Adams successfully managed to nail this icy white number. However, the tie-up belt takes away from the rocker waist band.
Felicity Jones has clearly upped her game this season. Sporting a Christian Dior gown with a silk top and embroidered skirt, there’s nothing stopping a girl crush here.
Gugu Mbatha Raw
Gugu Mbatha Raw clearly worked a balance between rocker chic and prom queen. The black trimming gave the lilac Prada gown a dramatic edge, and she finished it off with a glimmering ear cuff.
This one has been Keira Knightley’s personal best for awards season 2015. The Giambattista Valli gown with an appliqué top and floral embroidered skirt enhanced her natural glow.
Laura Bailey rocked this minimalistic gown by Emilia Wickstead. With bare accessories, and nude make-up, the Victorian ensemble defined the classic ‘less is more’.
Julianne Moore made a perfect entrance in this fiery gown from Tom Ford. We’re big fans of the daring neckline. The part velvet, part crepe gave a classic red dress the necessary edge.
Natalie Dormer pulled off a wicked look in this Sophia Kah gown. Although, we don't really approve of the lace gloves, we still think she rocked it with the sweeping train and dramatic updo.
This Stella McCartney cleavage-baring gown fit her like a glove. Reese Witherspoon teamed it with casual summery waves and her usual 100 watt smile.
