LFW Ramp Watch: Sailex

What’s not to love about his designs? His enviable cuts and finishing, clean silhouettes and an eye for detail made for another seamless collection this season. Sailex’s reincarnation of Shibori was a fresh surprise from his otherwise choice of solid hues that he executes with finesse. The use of hook eye and snap buttons to create motifs was a new direction he explored along with a multitude of never-seen-before silhouettes like the swallow tail shirt, satin dungarees and oversized drapes.

HIGHPOINTS: The saris! Definitely a territory worth more exploration for him.

SCOPE: Better editing; some of the pieces broke the otherwise consistent flow of the ensembles vis-a-vis the colour story and the silhouette as well.
